Undici: The Little Marionette

So I've got myself a cup of peppermint and camomile tea, just woke up from a 3 hour nap, and decided I either do some work, or blog. Lack of blog entries due to combination of work, sickness, and can't-be-bothered'ness. Not just blogging, I haven't exercised in two weeks either... laziness. I've had all the photos up and ready on picasa, some which I even uploaded on facebook, but blogging is a lot more time consuming, so... this is the next entry, the Little Marionette, cafe entry No. 11!

Upon entering this place, one would first notice how small the space is. The kitchen taking up half of the space, and tables on the other half, barely fitting 8 people, plus a queue of people waiting on takeaways and ordering. Further in, a roasting room where a red coffee bean roaster sits, raw beans in sacks on the floor.

Managed to snag a table on a Sunday morning. Not bad. Not extremely comfortable, but not bad either.

I must say, I wasn't a big fan of their coffee. It felt stronger, with a tangy fruity taste.

Latte art is all there though =)

This was recommended, but yes, I am well aware that you could make this at home. The thing about avocado is, I would buy them and forget about them till they are all mushy and brown and quite inedible. Or I'd eat one and get sick of it, leaving the rest to die in the fridge(I do like avocado, don't get me wrong, but eating one is way too much, and if you eat half... well, I forget about the other half and it ends up brown and mushy, haha).

Quiche for breakfast? No problem!

Of course, the revolving bookcase! The place looked deceptively small because of this. There's a not-so-hidden room with extra dining space on the other side of the bookcase. My brother actually found a location where he did a recent shoot with another hidden bookcase room... located in a bar. Feels all Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie with these around.

Why little marionette? Because of the little puppets lying around the store as decorations. Creepy things, I never really liked puppets.

I must say, this cafe definitely needs a revisit. We didn't get any of their signature stuff, and I could get used to the coffee. It's just a different taste to the usual coffee you get, but that's probably because they roast their own beans. ST should join us next time, she'd know exactly what to get, as she always does =)
